Microphone and audio settings
RECORD_AUDIO is requested for speaking in Live Voice Rooms. MODIFY_AUDIO_SETTINGS and legacy Bluetooth access support speaker, earpiece, wired and Bluetooth routing. Microphone access uses Android runtime permission.
Notifications and background work
POST_NOTIFICATIONS allows enabled reminders and community alerts. Wake lock/foreground service support reliable background tasks where Android permits them.
Advertising and billing
Advertising ID/AdServices permissions come from Google Mobile Ads. BILLING supports EpisodeTime Premium subscriptions through Google Play.
Not requested
The production manifest does not request camera, contacts, SMS, call-log or Android location permission.
