Biography

Kubo Tsuguyuki (窪詔之) is a veteran Japanese animator, animation director, and character designer currently affiliated with Studio Pierrot. Kubo started working as an animator in the mid 1960s. He worked on a number of a Japanese anime projects working with various companies throughout the 70s and early 80s. In the mid 1980s, he joined the newly formed PAC, which handled almost all of the animation duties of the various Rankin/Bass cartoons. In late 1995, he joined Studio Pierrot, where he remains a regular contributor on various productions. He is generally regarded as a legend within the Japanese animation industry. His younger brother Kubo Hidemi (窪秀己) is also an animator.
