Early one morning, 14-year-old Minke Moorman is kidnapped. Three years later she reappears out of nowhere, completely feral and with a mysterious wing tattoo on her back. After her return, the entire family comes under pressure. Minke has been changed by her traumatic experience and, without anyone knowing, she is still being played by her captor from the shadows.

She puts a lot of pressure on Minke, which puts her in direct opposition to Lucas and Eva. Robert fears that Eva and Minke are in danger from Lucas, who is becoming increasingly unstable. Minke begins to doubt the Sphinx's mission and makes a radical decision.
